I think Reya has questionable and dark intent towards Earth too. As you said, she kept sending Tarasks to earth killing some of them and allowing them to kill many humans. She made changes to Lilith’s body without her consent that made her life very difficult back in earth. She trained Michael to be a bomb—he says he never enjoyed life until he was on Earth and fighting with Ava (and Beatrice)—and was without qualms killing two humans on a mission that ended up failing.
I think Father Vincent and Camilla and the rest of the OCS destroyed the cross, which makes Michael’s and Ava’s sacrifice all the more tragic because it was for nothing.
